Born in 2014. Drue Salon brings a lively, creative, energetic, and judgement-free atmosphere to downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. The salon is calm, eclectic, LGBTQIA2S+-owned, and welcoming. Here, we celebrate PRIDE every day. Here, we celebrate the uniqueness in each individual and work to create a look that fits within your lifestyle and budget. Simply, we are here for you and your hair’s journey.
At Drue Salon, we use high-performance, naturally-based hair color to achieve rich, dimensional coloring that lasts and leaves your hair with shine and intense moisture.
The multi-tonal COLOR.ME hair color developed by Kevin Murphy ensures natural-looking results, while maintaining the utmost respect to the health of your hair, and offering endless possibilities. Naturally beneficial and sustainable ingredients such as honey, shea butter, and pomegranate deliver intense moisture and shine while respecting the environment. COLOR.ME is free of ammonia and PPD (Paraphenylenediamine). +CODE, a new coloring option by Kevin Murphy offers 100% grey coverage and intense color vibrancy with low ammonia. +CODE is completely vegan, prioritizing natural ingredients such as organic argan oil.
The Yo Color System, developed by Kemøn, is a complete wellness treatment with a soft yogurt base, certified organic ingredients, and Kemøn’s own Velian Complex. The Yo Color System delivers extraordinarily intense, brilliant, long-lasting color results that maintain respect for your scalp and hair. NaYo, Kemøn’s gentle permanent color, has up to 70% ingredients of natural origin. YoGreen, the tone-on-tone color, is comprised of up to 84% ingredients of natural origin. The organic farms of Kemøn’s Open Lab produces the organic ingredients found within the Yo Color System while maintaining sustainability.
Our coloring and cutting skills are accentuated with the use of Kevin Murphy’s professional hair care products. Derived from skin care ingredients, Kevin Murphy products are known for being weightless, high performing, and environmentally conscious. Ingredients used in the production of Kevin Murphy products are renewable and sustainably sourced.

CANCELLATION AND LATE POLICY
Due to our limited openings, we request a 48-hour advance notice in the event of cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. This allows us enough time to fill the stylist’s opening and allow the booking of another client who may be waiting for an appointment. Any appointment cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the appointment will be responsible for a 50% charge of the initial appointment. Any appointment cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment will be responsible for a 100% charge of the initial appointment. We understand the nature of COVID-19, but as a reassurance of our stylist’s income and the future of our salon, client appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours due to COVID-19 will be charged 50% of the initial appointment.
Unfortunately, we are unable to take clients that are more than 10 minutes late to their scheduled appointment. No shows and late appointments will be responsible for 100% of the service missed. Please note that payment for a missed appointment will need to be collected before you are able to reschedule another appointment.
We ask that clients who are unable to maintain scheduled appointments due to the challenges that we call “life” call the salon for day of scheduling to ensure that our stylist’s time is respected and that we can maintain our eclectic, accepting, and welcoming space.
For new color clients or appointments that require two or more hours, a credit card will need to be put on file to hold the appointment and/or a deposit.

Any product purchased at DRUE Salon may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase.
